Family Reconciliation

Divorce in Islam occurs when a man pronounces or writes the divorce according to Islamic conditions. If there are multiple divorces, the third pronouncement is considered final, as mentioned in the Quran in Surah Al-Baqarah, verses 229 and 230. The waiting period for the woman begins from the time the man pronounces the divorce. If the divorce is the first or second, the man can reconcile with his wife during the waiting period. If the waiting period expires, a new contract is required, which can be done at the Rabita, provided the divorce has not been officially registered.

In the case of an irrevocable divorce (with the waiting period expired) for an officially registered contract, no Islamic or official marriage contract should be conducted with another person before the divorce is officially registered to preserve rights and prevent legal issues.
